Canada Research Chair and ITM Associate Professor Dr. Atty Mashatan receives the university-wide research award

Dr. Atty Mashatan, ITM Associate Professor and Canada Research Chair, receives the university-wide 2022 Early Research Career Excellence Award. This annual award recognizes Dr. Mashatan's outstanding research and scholarly activity in the first five years of her academic career. It is the first time a faculty member from the Ted Rogers School of Management is being recognized by this university-wide research excellence award. 

Previously, Dr. Mashatan also received the faculty-wide Dean’s Scholarly Research and Creative Activity Award in 2021 and the TRSM Research Recognition Award in 2020. Moreover, Dr. Mashatan’s publications have received five TRSM Outstanding Research Recognition fund awards to date. 

Moreover, Dr. Mashatan's significant contributions have been recognized by a number of external awards including University Blockchain Research Initiative Innovator Award by Ripple (November 2021), Top 20 Women in Cyber Security in Canada, IT World Canada (July 2020), Winner of the New Frontier in Blockchain Research: Academic Research category, Blockchain Research Institute (July 2020), Canada's Tech Titans: Top 19 of 2019 Award, IBM CASCON (November 2019), and Top 5 Women of Influence in Security, SC Magazine Award (July 2019).
