We foster entrepreneurial education by teaching the lean startup methodology. Our approach is to coach and advise our members throughout their entrepreneurial journeys. All members, no matter where they are in their journeys of their startup, have the opportunity to access and participate in programs that we offer and support.

IBZ is one of the first incubators in Toronto that focuses on deep tech start-ups. Deep technologies are novel and offer significant advances over technologies currently in use. They require substantial R&D to develop practical business or consumer applications. Investment in this industry grew to more than $60 billion in 2020.

Engaging with the IBZ Community

IBZ hosts a multitude of events and programs from design challenges, workshops, tours, bootcamps and more. You'll have the opportunity to learn about new ideas, gain valuable skills and network with employers in the corporate innovation space and beyond.

There are no cohorts. iBoost accepts companies on a rolling basis. You can apply and start your journey with us at any time.
The iBoost team welcomes early-stage/pre-revenue startups and entrepreneurs from Ryerson and the broader Toronto community. Most of our startups are working on innovative software-based solutions in B2B and B2C markets in areas such as entertainment and health care, EdTech, FinTech, and SaaS offerings. Our teams typically consist of one or more founders.
The process to apply involves filling out our application online. If requested, you will be asked to come in for an interview.
Whether someone is hoping to become a founder or an intrapreneur, our team will provide the coaching, one-on-one advising, mentorship, education, startup-specific programming and a co-working space. To learn more about iBoost and what we offer, visit this link.
