Hi, I’m Salomé! My passion for travel comes from my experience growing up across the globe with many different cultures. I came to Ryerson to study Hospitality and Tourism Management after completing high school in Barbados. A favourite Ryerson memory is having had the opportunity to work for TIFF 2019 (Toronto International Film Festival) where I met Kristen Stewart! On campus I’ve been involved with our International Student Support Office, Tri-Mentoring Program, and have also utilized many of the LGBTQ+ students’ on-campus supports.

Hi, I’m Vivian! I’m a small girl with a big appetite for food and travel. I love going on exciting foodie trips every weekend and traveling to new places whenever I can, so Ryerson’s Hospitality and Tourism Management program just calls my name. Thanks to the close partnerships the program has with industry, I’ve had the opportunity to live and breathe my passion through different internships. This has given me the opportunity to apply what I have learned in the classroom to the real world, practice and build my professional skills, and explore Canada.

Student Ambassador Zainab

Hi, I'm Zainab! I’m a third-year international student from Dubai. I’m in the Journalism program with plans to double minor in Fashion and English. I’m also the President of the Journalism Course Union, Editor in Chief of Her Campus at Ryerson and I’ve worked with several other publications on campus. I’ve lived downtown right from my first semester at Ryerson and I was also a Residence Advisor pre-pandemic; I can’t rave about living in residence enough! I’ve worked tons of jobs all across campus and let me tell you, the opportunities for international students are endless - I even started my own student group!
