Biography
The daughter of entrepreneurs, Maria began her career in the corporate world spending 13 years in the finance industry in roles including equity research and risk management. She's worked for both small and large firms advising a global network of clients on investment opportunities in developed and emerging markets.
Why Digital Media?
Curious by nature, Maria usually finds her self spending the day in search of information but she's more interested in the platforms where she gets the information rather than the content itself. "I have reached a point in my career where I know in order to move forward I need to shift gears, or to put it more precisely, shift mediums. Given the fast moving and changing world we live in, where the new economy will be driven by digital media, I feel this programme will give me the tools I need to bridge my transition into the field of media & information."
Final Project
A globetrotter from an early age thanks to her parents, Maria intends to create a platform to help voyagers like herself. In addition, Maria is working with one of her MDM colleagues on an online journaling platform.
