Biography:

Lisa is a digital professional with a passion for creating, and building brands. Her journey to digital media began right after she graduated University with a BA, double majoring in English and Political Science. She thought to herself "English!? Political Science!? What am I going to do with this degree?". That same year she entered into Seneca's Corporate Communications, Public Relations post-graduate program, thinking that it would be the best use of the skills she gained in University. Upon completing this program she then entered into a string of internships and jobs in the PR and marketing fields that took her across multiple sectors, including agency, start-up, broadcast and non-profit. Her previous experiences have also given her expertise in social media management, publicity, marketing, videography, writing, research and more. Throughout her multiple roles, she always found herself being drawn to the more digital and enterprising side of things, leading her to her current graduate-level studies in digital media.

Currently, her interests lie in the videography and content creation arenas - more specifically within the consumer and lifestyle sectors. She's excited to refine her skills through Ryerson's Master of Digital Media program and see where her now digital future takes her.

Why Digital Media?

The short answer would be the world is now digital. The long answer would be that digital media is embedded in everything we do. From apps to wearables to the tech used in our public spaces, it's inescapable. If you want to be apart of the social change that our society is rapidly undergoing, digital media is the place to be. I hope to create impact and social change (even if its slight!!) with the skills and knowledge I gain from this program.
