Incoming Students

Welcome to the Ted Rogers MBA!

We are excited to have you join us in Toronto this Fall.

Please review each link below for important information regarding your program including next steps, course enrollment, fees and much more.  

You must confirm your enrollment by the confirmation deadline date indicated in your admission offer to reserve your place in the program.

If you do not confirm your enrollment by the confirmation deadline date, your admission offer will expire.

WINTER TERM

  • Winter term - Classes begin January 11, 2019
  • Winter term - Tuition fees due January 11, 2019

SPRING TERM

  • Spring term - Classes begin April 30, 2019
  • Spring term - Tuition fees due May 3, 2019

FALL TERM  

  • Fall - Classes begin September 3, 2019
  • Fall term - Tuition fees due September 6, 2019

It is your responsibility to meet admission conditions​ outlined in your admission offer.

Conditions​ ​may include submitting official academic transcripts​, submitting official English proficiency exam results and paying your tuition deposit. 

WINTER

Winter Orientation will take on Monday, January 14, 2019 ​at the Ted Rogers School of Management building. Orientation is mandatory for all incoming winter students

When: 5:00 pm to 6 pm  

Dress Code: Business attire

Material Required: Laptop

 

SPRING

Spring Orientation will take on Saturday, April 27, 2019 ​at the Ted Rogers School of Management building. Orientation is mandatory for all incoming spring students

When: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Dress Code: Business attire

FALL  

Launch Weekend will take place from Friday, August 23, 2019 to Sunday, August 25, 2019​ ​at the Ted Rogers School of Management building.

Winter and spring start students are required to attend Launch Week.

Launch Weekend is mandatory for all incoming fall students

Throughout Launch Weekend we will be hosting team building sessions and career panels for all incoming MBA students.

Dress Code: Business Attire for all days expect for Saturday, August 24, 2019. For this date, casual attire is encouraged.

To begin self-enrollment, you must confirm your admission offer, pay your tuition deposit and clear any admission conditions you may have outstanding.

Self-enrollment instructions will be shared with you directly.

Questions regarding course syllabi, program of study plans, fees and enrollment will be answered during Fall Launch Week.

Upcoming Workshops

Location: Ted Rogers School of Management  

Workshop description: 

Required for all students scheduled to take MB/MT 8109 Financial Management (core course), highly recommended for all incoming students.

This workshop will review cash flow from the assets, cash flow to shareholders, cash flow to bondholders, income statements and balance sheets.

In addition, the instructor will be reviewing the most important concept in finance, time value of money. Attend to learn how to solve many time value of money problems using a financial calculator. The instructor will be using a Texas Instruments BA II Plus, it is available at Staples (and other retailers) for about $40. 

The workshop will review the five criteria you in determining whether to go ahead with a project.

Workshop description:

This two part Excel workshop is designed for and highly recommended for all MBA students. Topics include Filtering data functions, Formula Construction, Statistical Analysis and much more.

Workshop description:

One-on-one writing Workshops will be running throughout the year. Workshops are available for one-hour appointment slots. Please note you are required to provide a 24 hour cancellation notice if you are unable to attend. 

You will be meeting with our writing coach, Beverly Bowen. Beverly is a journalist, who has worked as an editor for the country's national newspapers as well as in television.  She teaches journalism at Ryerson's Faculty of Communication and Design.  As the writing coach with the MBA program she works individually with students to review their work and show them how to improve their writing.
