Biography:

Mark is Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Ryerson University, Toronto. Previously he was Visiting Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Malaya, and prior to that, Inamori Chair of Biomaterials at Alfred University, NY state and Adjunct Professor at the University of Limerick. He has been conducting research on biomaterials for twenty years both in industry and academia. He has a PhD from Queen Mary College, University of London, is a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining and is both a chartered engineer and chartered scientist.
