The Reconciliation Manifesto: The Life and Legacy of Arthur Manuel

November 30, 2017
6:30 PM EST - 9:00 PM EST
Thomas Lounge, Oakham House

Hosted by the Centre for Indigenous Governance at the Faculty of Arts, this book launch brings together Audra Simpson, Ska7cis Manuel, Naomi Klein, Russ Diabo and Hayden King to discuss the work and profound impact of the late Art Manuel.

A pillar of Indigenous resistance and one of its key strategic thinkers, few Indigenous scholars and activists have been unaffected by the thinking and activism of Arthur Manuel.

Before his untimely passing in 2017, Manuel published Unsettling Canada (2015) and The Reconciliation Manifesto (2017). These texts contain vital histories of Indigenous resistance and leave an invaluable legacy for us to consider.
