Science Literacy Week
- September 16, 2019 - September 22, 2019
- 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Science Literacy Week is a national and annual celebration to showcase the diversity and excellence of the Canadian science community, and highlight how exciting science can be. Every year in September, various universities, museums, libraries, and other organizations, host unique events to get their local communities engaged with science research and activities.
This year's theme is oceans. Canada is surrounded by three different oceans, creating an entire nation filled with communities that experience a special relationship with the water. Due to this, Science Literacy Week will focus on areas dedicated to ocean research and health, and the challenges facing ocean communities and wildlife and the solutions being implemented at home.
From September 16 - 22, be sure to visit the various events taking place on Ryerson campus and around downtown Toronto for Science Literacy Week, all hosted by SciXchange. Different activities will take place everyday; you can check out the SciXchange website for the full schedule and details.
