A four-night virtual speaker series dedicated to the discussion of radical activism, art and media in the age of COVID-19. From explorations of health advocacy during the pandemic, to the intersection of COVID-19 with the arts, policing and online activism, we hope to encourage constructive conversations and practices in response to the ongoing global pandemic.
May 25 @ 6 p.m. - Radical Health Advocacy with Courtney Skye, policy analyst & freelance writer; Claire Bodkin, resident physician & community organizer; and Sharmeen Khan, anti-racist, feminist activist.
May 26 @ 6 p.m. - Pandemic Aesthetics and Poetics with Roberta Buiani, researcher, activist & media artist; Pree Rehal, artist educator; and Mimi O'Bonsawin, singer & songwriter.
May 27 @ 6 p.m. - Policing, Surveillance and Control with Alex McClelland, Policing the Pandemic; Beverly Bain, scholar-activist; and Sonia Guinansaca, poet & migration activist.
May 28 @ 6 p.m. - Activism Across Social Distance with Irene Lusztig, Radical Quarantine; Paterson Hodgson, Keep Your Rent TO; and Mita Hans, Caremongering TO.
