The Rams finished off a winning road trip by shutting out the Laurentian Voyageurs 3-0 on Sunday afternoon in Sudbury.

After beating Nipissing 2-1 yesterday, the Rams stepped onto the pitch with confidence, looking for another key win before the playoffs.

Ryerson improves to an 8-1-2 record. The Rams have just three regular season matches remaining, and will aim for as many points as possible. The team returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 12 when they host the Carleton Ravens.

The Ryerson Rams women's soccer team pulled out a 2-2 draw on Sunday afternoon in Sudbury against the Laurentian Voyageurs.

The result means the Rams sit in fifth place in the OUA East with a record of 4-4-2 which puts them in a playoff spot going into the last two weekends of the regular season.

Ryerson now has 14 league points with four games left to play. Having not qualified for the playoffs last year with 16 total points, the Rams are looking to keep their solid season going with positive results over the Carleton Ravens and the USPORTS No. 1 ranked Ottawa Gee-Gees on back-to-back weekends.

The Rams kick-off again Saturday, Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. against the Carleton Ravens and Sunday, Oct. 13 at 1 p.m., both at Downsview Park.

Men’s and Women’s Hockey

The men’s hockey team starts their conference season Thursday, Oct. 10 on home ice at the Mattamy Athletic Centre against the Guelph Gryphons. In a pre-conference homecoming game on Sept. 20, the Rams won 4-1 over the Queen's Gaels, winning in style wearing their new golden uniforms inside a packed Mattamy Athletic Centre.

They’ve won some and lost some since then but are looking to capture some momentum in front of a home crowd on Thursday night. The home ice action continues on Saturday, Oct. 12 against the Toronto Varsity Blues.

The women’s hockey team conference season gets underway next week.

With Olympic gold medallist Haley Irwin on the bench as assistant coach, the Ryerson women’s hockey team are looking to translate that experience into winning gains on the ice. Irwin joins the Rams during a positive timeframe in the program's history. Ryerson is coming off its best season, having reached the semifinals of the OUA McCaw Cup playoffs in 2018-19.

The women’s team starts their conference season Friday, Oct. 18 in Oshawa against Ontario Tech.
