Ryerson moves spring and summer 2020 courses online
As Ryerson continues to make academic adjustments in response to the global COVID-19 challenge, the university will, where possible, offer 2020 spring and summer session courses online. However, we recognize the value of the in-classroom experience and will reevaluate the decision regarding summer courses at a later date.
Increased online offerings at The Chang School
While all faculties are converting their spring and summer courses to a virtual format, The Chang School of Continuing Education already has a wide selection of online courses as part of its existing programming that will be offered as planned. It is also working with faculties to increase its offerings, including adding supplementary sections to its current courses and introducing additional online courses, so that students have more options to advance their studies. Information about these additional offerings will be made available soon.
Although The Chang School’s spring courses typically start the week of May 4, 2020 and summer courses the week of June 22, 2020, for this offering many have new start and end dates. For enrolment details, please review the course descriptions and important dates on The Chang School’s website.
Ryerson recognizes that it is not possible to hold all courses virtually. For those that require in-class work that cannot be moved online, such as laboratory or studio components, faculty members are evaluating alternative teaching options to avoid cancellations.
Resources for students
Students enrolled in online courses will be expected to provide their own laptop and wifi. The Ryerson Library has moved many services and most resources online, allowing students to continue their studies and to access the academic resources they require to complete their work.
