While the Government of Ontario recently announced (external link)  that public health measures will be eased in the coming weeks as public health indicators in our province continue to improve, the Council of Ontario Universities (external link)  issued a statement on behalf of all Ontario Universities that “in order to minimize uncertainty and disruption to our students, staff, faculty and university communities, Ontario’s universities will maintain their COVID-19 vaccination policies until at least the end of the current term.”

Over the course of the month of February, our community has been returning to campus. With our transition back to campus nearly complete and only a few weeks left in our winter semester, here’s what you need to know:

Proof of vaccination still required

Ryerson’s vaccination requirements will remain in effect. Individuals accessing campus or in-person university activities off-campus must be fully vaccinated or have received an approved exemption from the university. Individuals who have approved exemptions are still required to participate in the Rapid Antigen Testing Program

Masking guidelines continue

A well-fitted mask or face covering will continue to be required and worn by every person at all times while indoors in a manner that covers their mouth, nose and chin.

For more information on guidelines and exemptions, visit the Masks and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) page.

Ongoing daily health screening

All students, faculty, staff, contractors and visitors must continue to complete a mandatory health screening before being granted access to campus buildings. Mandatory health screenings must be completed via the RyersonSafe app or the RyersonSafe Health Screening webpage

Visit the COVID-19 website for information on all health and safety protocols

Increased capacity at University Library, MAC, RAC

Due to the easing of health measures, some spaces on campus, such as the MAC, RAC and the University Library will be expanding their hours.

Be sure to check the campus status page on the COVID-19 website for the latest information and updates.
