COVID-19 Update: Practice Requirement Record Submission for Fall 2020

Date: June 5, 2020

Message to our DCSN students across all programs

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ryerson University remains closed, however all staff including the CPO are working remotely and conducting our work in the usual manner with our partners to secure practicum placements for the fall semester. Students have been contacting the CPO seeking further direction regarding submission of PRRs, as such the CPO is piloting the electronic upload of PRRs and supporting documentation. Updated deadlines for each specific year of study and instructions can be found here:

Please note: We understand students may experience challenges in being able to fulfill all practice requirements prior to the PRR deadline as services will become available across the city in a phased-in approach. It is important to make every effort to submit your PRR form as complete as possible and ON TIME.

The Vulnerable Sector Screening form for Toronto Police Services will now be available electronically. Please email cpo@ryerson.ca with your Ryerson OneCard or Collaborative Nursing Badge to request the form.

The Letter of Request to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check from your Regional Police Station remains available electronically. Please email cpo@ryerson.ca with your Ryerson OneCard or Collaborative Nursing Badge to request for the letter.

Thank-you all very much for your patience and cooperation as we go through this together.
