Dr. Espin is an Associate Professor in the school and has held several positions in perioperative clinical practice and education. She holds cross appointments with the School of Graduate Studies and is an Affiliated Scholar with the Wilson Centre for Health Professions Education and the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute.

Dr. Espin’s current programme of research seeks to theorize how professionals on the health care team interact with one another in the context of perceived errors of care, in settings such as rehabilitation and chronic care, the intensive care unit, the operating room and the medical inpatient ward.  Further, she is explore processes and outcomes related to interprofessional education

Sherry currently teaches in the post diploma and graduate programs, with an interest in qualitative research, seminar and practice courses. Sherry also acts as a faculty advisor to graduate students and is involved in graduate student supervision.
