As an actor, Philippa has worked in theatres throughout the country as well as various film and television projects. She has played leading roles at both the Stratford and Shaw Festivals and received a Dora nomination for her work in ‘Time After Time; The Chet Baker Project’. She was part of the international cast of the original production of Margaret Atwood’s ‘Penelopiad’ performing at the Royal Shakespeare Company in the original Swan Theatre. She has helped workshop and originate over twenty new Canadian plays including the leading role in the original production of the Governor General Award winning ‘If We Were Birds’. Most recently she appeared as a series regular in Damnation currently airing on Netflix.

With her own Company Petit Jeu she wrote and choreographed and produced five works of movement theatre to critical acclaim.
She recently choreographed ‘The Tempest’ with Martha Henry at the Stratford Festival and ‘The Penelopiad’ with Megan Follows directing at The Grand Theatre.
She has taught movement at Ryerson since 2001 and has over twenty years experience as a Pilates/yoga instructor in studios throughout Toronto. She maintains a private Pilates/bodywork practice in her own studio “ The Breathing Space”.

She is currently working on a novel as well as a new piece of movement theatre, both of which grapple with the climate emergency. This spring she will appear in ‘Cottagers and Indians’ at Magnus and Theatre New Brunswick then will be creating and performing various climate actions through dance.

This spring, Philippa will be performing as an actor in 'Cottagers and Indians' at Magnus Theatre and Theatre New Brunswick. Next Spring she will perform in a new play with Nightwood Theatre; 'Enormity, Girl and the earthquake in her lungs'.
