Martha holds a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) from the University of Toronto. Her undergraduate degree is in sociology and psychology from the University of Alberta. She is a credentialed evaluator through the Canadian Evaluation Society’s (CES) Professional Designation Program.
Martha has more than 30 years' experience in monitoring and evaluation and so brings a strong commitment to supporting high-quality evaluations that make a difference. She has worked across a number of sectors and is known for her ability with multi-disciplinary projects. She combines this with experience in organizational and program development. She has worked with a variety of populations including homeless people, First Nations, children, and people with disabilities. She was president of the Canadian Evaluation Society (CES), on the Board of the International Organization for Cooperation in Evaluation (IOCE), and received the CES award for contribution to evaluation in Canada. She contributed to the development of core competencies for evaluators in the UN system . She has worked extensively with nonprofits as well as international agencies and NGOs.
