Pamela Palmater (L in photo) received the Margaret Mead Award from Marilyn Van Dieten (R in photo) of the International Community Corrections Association. The award is considered to be the highest honor presented by the Association and it is given to an individual who has demonstrated leadership in the field of community corrections through guidance, innovative ideas, influence of policy and/or dedicated service to the ideals and goals of community-based correctional programming. Dr. Palmater was recognised as a leader, an innovator, and a social justice advocate. The award was presented at the annual research conference of the Association on 04 October 2016 at the Westin Harbour Castle.
