The Politics and Public Administration (PPAA) Alumni formed in Fall 2007, with the intent of representing alumni/ae from all three of the programs offered by Ryerson’s Department of Politics and Public Administration.
In Fall 2013 the organization was re-named the "Ryerson University Public Policy and Administration Alumni Association (RUPPAAA), and its focus narrowed to alumni from the MA program in Public Policy and Administration. The change better reflected the reality of the organization.

You are invited to help create the first-ever Graduate Studies bursary to assist MPPA students. Bursaries are a meaningful way to directly affect students and to help them realize their true potential. Additional financial support can mean the difference between pursuing one’s educational ambitions or having to put those dreams on hold.
The number of students accessing the Good Food Centre on campus indicates the extent of financial need within our own Ryerson community. According to the Toronto Star and CBC, 40% of Canadian students are going without nutritious food. The rising costs of accommodation, as well as limited available income from part-time work are all major factors in food insecurity for students. In part, this has led RUPPAAA to create a student bursary that will assist a future MPPA student who needs assistance to bridge a financial gap.
If you have been thinking about giving a gift to support this new bursary, please do not hesitate to be in touch. Gifts received before December 31st of each year will receive a tax receipt for that year. To learn more about the bursary and to donate, click here.
If you have questions about your donation, Robert Dixon, the Faculty of Arts Director of Development, is happy to answer them.
