Required grade ranges may fluctuate from year to year (up or down) as a result of competition. Applicants not educated in Ontario may present the equivalent of the Ontario requirements. Women in the House Program at Ryerson University

Would you like a first-hand opportunity to meet with a Member of Parliament and find out what it’s like to be a politician in Canada? If yes, then this new initiative is for you! This program will provide Arts students who identify as female with the opportunity to travel to Ottawa where you will shadow an MP, tour key political sites, and network with politicians, professors, and other students.

Distinctive Learning

Access to scholars engaged in leading-edge public administration research and public servant instructors with a wealth of experience. A practicum option allows eligible students to use work experience for credit. This part-time program (featuring evening classes, online distance education and hybrid delivery) offers a certificate, advanced certificate, BA and post-degree certificate, as well as specialized program options for First Nations administrators.

After Graduation

Use in-depth understanding of policy and administration to make a difference in federal, provincial or municipal government; social service agencies; non-profit organizations; or the private sector. Pursue professional programs such as public policy, public administration and law; or an advanced degree in social sciences.

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent with a minimum of six Grade 12 U or M courses including the following program specific requirements.

Typically, a minimum overall average of 70% establishes eligibility for admission consideration; subject to competition individual programs may require higher pre-requisite grades and/or higher overall averages:

  • English/Anglais (ENG4U/EAE4U preferred)
  • The minimum grade required in the subject prerequisite (normally in the 70% range) will be determined subject to competition.
    OR
  • The ability to meet Ryerson Mature Student Guidelines
