Cory Searcy is the former Associate Dean, Programs, YSGS, where he played a critical role in advancing the school’s priorities of building a community and culture of inquiry, elevating excellence in graduate education, attracting and retaining outstanding graduate student talent, and delivering leading academic and administrative supports and services. Among his responsibilities, Cory oversaw the graduate component of the institutional quality assurance process (IQAP) mandated by the Quality Council, which included supporting graduate programs through the Periodic Program Review Process (Policy 126), new program development (Policy 112) and curriculum modifications (Policy 127).
A professor of Industrial Engineering and former Graduate Program Director for the interdisciplinary Environmental Applied Science and Management program, Cory's research interests include corporate sustainability indicators, sustainability reporting and sustainable supply chain management, and he has been published in several leading academic journals, including the Journal of Cleaner Production, the Journal of Business Ethics, and the International Journal of Production Economics. He holds a BSc and an MSc from the University of Manitoba, as well as a PhD from the University of Alberta.
