Ryerson Advising Network

The Ryerson Advising Network is a community of practice for staff and faculty that advise students. Since its inception this network has created opportunities for its members to share effective practices on how they support student success and how to create exceptional experiences for students. You can view our various supports below including newsletters, training and our annual conference.

Annual Advising Conference

Since 2015 the Office of the Registrar hosts a half-day advising conference on campus around March. Updates and registration are posted in the monthly advising newsletters.

Advisor Training

We are pleased to offer two training programs: Level 1 Interpersonal Approaches to Advising and Level 2 Advising Theories and Concepts. Each program consists of 4 sessions over several months to connect advisors to effective practices of advising.
