Championing Entrepreneurs

Ryerson has created a campus-wide system to provide support and unique opportunities to up-and-coming entrepreneurs and innovators while advancing economic development through spin-off companies and job creation.

Social Innovation & Social Enterprises

At Ryerson, entrepreneurship and innovation are deployed to achieve both social and for-profit goals. As Canada's first Ashoka Changemaker Campus, Ryerson students and faculty continue to challenge societal norms by creating initiatives, developing companies, and pursuing action to address the needs of diverse communities.

Knowledge Mobilization

Meeting societal need is at the heart of Ryerson's mission, making Knowledge Mobilization (KM) an important part of Ryerson's research process. KM occurs when research knowledge is applied to help facilitate real world impact on policy and society. Ryerson faculty are adapting knowledge to increase research uptake and inform decisions, while also connecting their work to organizations and communities outside of the university.
