Student Awards & Funding

As a university student, new expenses arise every academic year – and it’s not only tuition and textbooks. Toronto Metropolitan undergrads have access to many enriching opportunities that can cost money – special projects, conferences, study abroad and more. To help you shoulder the load, financial supports are within reach.

Student Loans & Grants

Get help to pay for tuition, books and living expenses. Student loans or grants are available through OSAP or other government aid. Get details from Student Financial Assistance.

Awards & Scholarships

Academic or extracurricular achievement may bring you recognition or awards. Apply regularly to AwardSpring (external link) . You'll be automatically matched to awards you qualify for.

Extracurricular Funding

Attend a conference, join a competition or take on a special project. Special funding is available through the Faculty of Science Student Project Grants or the Undergraduate Science Society of Toronto Metropolitan (external link, opens in new window) .

International Student Support

If you’re a Toronto Metropolitan student from another country, you can access financial support through bursaries, awards and other assistance.

Emergency Bursaries

Facing a sudden, unexpected financial need? You may qualify for an Emergency Bursary. This one-time amount may cover you when all other avenues have been exhausted.
