On July 23-24, Ryerson is hosting the 12th annual PST Conference. PST2014 is a major, international event, featuring authors from 46 countries. Top researchers and practitioners will share their latest work in privacy, security, and trust on such topics as privacy for mobile and social applications, privacy-preserving cryptography and data analysis, malware and malicious detection, and trust models.
Dr. Ann Cavoukian, executive director of Ryerson’s Institute for Privacy and Big Data, will be delivering a keynote address entitled "Get Smart: Embed Privacy, by Design to Avoid the Risk of Unintended Consequences."

PST2014 is organized by Ryerson’s Department of Computer Science, with Dr. Ali Miri as conference general chair. PST2014 sponsored by the Faculty of Science, the VPRI Office, and the Office of the Provost and Vice President Academic, with external sponsorship from IEEE and the University of New Brunswick – with the IEEE Computer Society as technical co-sponsor.
