Soapbox Science is a novel public outreach platform for promoting women scientists and the science they do. Using their virtual soapbox, our speakers will share cutting edge research with the general public and engage curious minds of all ages. This isn’t your average science talk - we’ve swapped powerpoints for fun props and panels for direct access to leading scientists.

We’re bringing science out of the lab and into the virtual streets for two exciting nights! Find out how researchers study a baby’s pain, what a massive star combusting means for you or how machines can learn deeply! Our Speakers will answer your questions and chat on-on-one with the audience.

The event will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 18 & Thursday Nov. 19, 6:30 - 8:00 pm. The virtual doors open at 6:00 pm. Participants can attend one or both nights!

This year our event will also celebrate the International LGBTQ2+ STEM Day (Nov. 18)! We are featuring two fabulous women in STEM who identify as part of the LGBTQ2+ community. For more information on this initiative please visit PrideinSTEM.org (external link, opens in new window) .
