Dr. Tahani Baakdhah MD
How do we see this beautiful world?
Tahani will be presenting her research on the development of our eyes and how we see at Soapbox Science.
Describe your field of study/work?
I am a PhD student at the University of Toronto studying how the stem cells built our retina during development, the mechanism by which the light sensing cells inside the eye enable us to see this beautiful world and how we can regenerate these cells in case of disease or injury.
Why are you excited about Soapbox Science?
I am really passionate about science communication and I enjoy communicating my research with public through crafts and crochet. Many people find it interesting, attractive and easily understand the science through it.
