Policy 167:  Academic Consideration for Fall 2021 - due to Covid-19: "Students who miss an assessment due to cold or flu-like symptoms, or due to self-isolation, are currently not required to provide a health certificate". Other absences must follow Senate PDF filePolicy 167 on Academic Consideration.     

Appeals

 

Appeals can be filed for Grade/Standing, Misconduct or Non-academic Conduct. 

Submission of your appeal is required within 10-working days of receiving the Faculty-level decision letter (grade/standing appeals), the Academic Integrity decision letter (academic misconduct), or the decision letter from the Vice-Provost, Students (non-academic conduct appeals). Please refer to the Student Appeals Submission Guide for more information.

Within 10 business days of receipt of a Faculty level grade/standing appeal decision.

 

 

 

 

Students must append their Senate-level appeal to their previous Faculty level-appeal via the on-line appeals portal. 

All Senate level appeals must include any documents submitted at all previous levels, all decision letters, all evidence, and a letter to the Senate Appeals Committee that clearly outlines where the decision made by the Dean and Chair/Director are in dispute.

Academic Misconduct appeals must be filed within 10 business days of the date of the finding of Academic Misconduct or the Penalty for Academic Misconduct Decision Letter
