Nomination Period February 1, 2024 to February 9, 2024
Campaigning Period February 14, 2024 to March 8, 2024
Voting Period (Students and *Faculty At-Large) March 5, 2024 to March 8, 2024
*Voting Period (Faculty Specific) March 12, 2024 to March 15, 2024

*Note that an election for the Faculty constituencies is not required. Results will be published in accordance with the election schedule.

Student Senator Election Results 

Thank you to all candidates and voters who participated in the 2024 Senate Student Elections and congratulations to the winners.

The terms of all student Senator representatives will be one year, from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025. A Senate Orientation will be held in September 2024 and the first Senate meeting will be held in October, 2024. Details and reminders will be provided as those dates approach.


Appointment of Academic Administrators (AAA Policy) Elections

2024 Vice-Provost & Dean of Yeates School of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies (YSGPS) Search Committee (*Carried Out Again)

Nominations Open:     Tuesday, February 27, 2024
Nominations Close:     Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 3:00 p.m.

According to the AAA procedures, the composition of the search committee for the Vice-Provost & Dean of Yeates School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies is as follows: 

  • *Three (3) tenured faculty members who are members of YSGPS, elected by and from faculty members of YSGPS (excluding Graduate Program Directors);
  • ­Two (2) Graduate Program Directors, elected by and from Graduate Program Directors; (positions filled) 
  • One (1) Dean or Vice-Provost selected by the Deans and Vice-Provosts;
  • *One (1) Graduate student elected by graduate students.The Provost and Vice-President, Academic serves as Chair and non-voting member of the committee, and will appoint two (2) additional members.

Election Process

The voting period ended for tenured YSGPS faculty members and a Graduate Student on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at 3pm. The Provost will make an announcement once the composition of the committee has been confirmed.

2024 Dean, Chang School of Continuing Education (CE) Search Committee

Nominations Open:     Friday, February 16, 2024
Nominations Close:     Monday, February 26, at 3:00 p.m.

Second Call Out  (CE Students ONLY)

Nominations Open:     Monday, March 4, 2024
Nominations Close:     Tuesday, March 12, at 3:00 p.m.

According to the AAA procedures, the composition of the search committee for Dean, Chang School of Continuing Education is as follows: 

  • Two (2) CE Program Directors (Election in Process)
  • Two (2) CE Academic Coordinators (Acclaimed) 
  • ­One (1) Dean or Vice-Provost
  • One (1) CE student

Election Process 

The online election for CE Students will run from Wednesday, March 20th at 10:00 am to Tuesday, March 26th at 3:00 pm. Details and reminders will be provided as those dates approach.

The online election for CE Program Directors is now closed. It was from Thursday, February 29th at 10:00 am to Wednesday, March 6th at 3:00 pm.

Interested in running for a position on Senate?

Information sessions are available for potential candidates (attendance is optional, and you only need to attend one session). Each session will take place virtually through Zoom.

Tuesday, February 6, 2024, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. OR Wednesday, February 7, 2024, 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. 

Note: These events have ended. If you did not get the opportunity this year, please consider attending a session in 2025.
