Operation Breakthrough: Innovations from FEAS

Operation Breakthrough: Innovations from FEAS is a new initiative from the Office of Social Innovation (OSI), hosted in partnership with the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science (FEAS). This series brings together researchers and educators (faculty, staff and students) from Ryerson University to share with the community and beyond, innovations they have made in responding to COVID-19 and the societal changes that have occurred. Projects can vary in discipline and the ways they have approached societal change through innovation (i.e. activism, voluntary projects, research papers, etc.).This initiative aims to connect innovators from across FEAS and highlight their work through storytelling. These stories will be collected and shared through an online repository to help build connections between current efforts and potential collaborations across Ryerson’s Faculties and programs.

We will be selecting up to six projects to be featured in a short (maximum 5 minute) video interview series, showcasing the project and its contribution to social change. The video interviews will be pre-recorded and shared on FEAS and OSI’s websites and social media channels. Projects not selected for the video series will be showcased in the ongoing repository.
