Minor in Sociology

The Sociology Minor is available to non-Sociology program students and comprises six courses. The goal of the Sociology Minor is to provide non-majors with a strong foundation of sociological principles and critical writing and thinking skills. Students also will acquire a ‘taste’ for substantive subjects examined by sociologists including, but not limited to, sport, gender, sexualities, women and Islam, health, food, crime, technology, and the environment.
