The university provides many free and low-cost supports for students. If you're not sure what type of support you need, start by contacting the Sociology Undergraduate Program Director or Program Assistant.

  • Gdoo-maawnjidimi Mompii Indigenous Student Services provides specialized services for First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples on campus; they also provide referrals to Toronto Aboriginal community agencies
  • Peer Support Program (email): Indigenous students who do outreach and provide peer support to Indigenous students on-campus.
  • The Indigenous Student Centre, located in KHW-372, is a safe space for Indigenous students to convene; before you drop in for the first time, please contact the Indigenous Student Services Administrative Assistant

First Generation students are the first in their family to attend post-secondary education

  • The Tri-Mentoring Program supports First Generation students through mentoring, information sharing, networking, volunteer opportunities, and social events
