Respond to a disruptive student

A civil, safe and respectful environment

Students have the responsibility to conduct themselves in a manner that ensures a learning, studying and working environment that is civil, safe and respectful of everyone's rights, well-being and dignity.

Under the Student Code of Non-Academic Conduct, the university is concerned with behaviour that:

  • Has a negative impact on other students or university employees;
  • Damages the learning, teaching or work environment; or
  • Impacts the peaceful and safe use of university housing.

If a student is disrupting your teaching or working environment, you can consult with the Student Conduct Officer or file a complaint under the Code.
