Emergencies

The Medical Centre is not equipped to deal with major emergencies, such as heart attacks, strokes, broken limbs, or any other life threatening injuries.

Should an emergency arise while on campus, you should call 911. This is a free call from any payphone. For off-campus emergencies, you should dial 911, or if you are able, proceed directly to the nearest hospital emergency room. There are several hospitals located near the Toronto Metropolitan campus, they are:

The emergency entrance is located at the corner of Victoria St. and Shuter St.

Mount Sinai Hospital (external link) 

600 University Avenue
Toronto, ON M5G 1X5
The hospital is located on the west side of University Ave at Gerrard St.

Toronto General Hospital (external link) 

190 Elizabeth Street
Toronto, ON M5G 2C4
The emergency entrance is located east of University Ave. on Gerrard St.
