Digital PTSD therapies - live better.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a mental health problem affecting 3 million Canadians, 570,000 of which are immigrants and refugees. Due to the health systems being overburdened and the increasing difficulty getting access to mental health services, 35% of individuals with PTSD will not get better from their condition, making them 15 times more at risk of committing suicide. In addition, PTSD therapies are not easily accessible for immigrants and refugees due to language and cultural barriers.

Savyn's Founders have the lived experience of PTSD and remember the struggle they endured to overcome their trauma. After getting diagnosed and getting the help we needed using clinical interventions, we want to bring these solutions to a digital platform to bypass the various barriers that are currently present in the face of access like geography, language, and culture. Savyn provides vulnerable groups with the help they need to overcome PTSD and live their best lives.

Our solution is to bring three proven clinical interventions for PTSD onto a digital platform. We are developing these interventions to be available in multiple languages other than English, to best suit different cultural groups. Savyn has three interventions; deep breathing exercises (square breathing), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprogramming (EMDR), and Written Exposure Therapy (WET) for long term healing.
