Biography:

Deborah de Lange

Dr. de Lange currently takes an interest in working with TRSM’s graduate council to build our graduate programs and to oversee graduate students in the Environmental Applied Science and Management, MBA, and MScM programs. Her research examines the intersections between entrepreneurship, climate change and sustainable development, high tech transformations, international organizations and relations, financing of new ventures, and cross sector partnerships. She is an avid contributor to Academy of Management in many capacities. She is also a strong supporter of women’s issues, democratic institutions, the scientific community, and entrepreneurship. She enjoys working with Ryerson’s Zone startups.

Dr. de Lange’s research focuses on the intersection of strategic organizational and international entrepreneurship theory in the clean tech context e.g., distributed energy, sustainable transportation. Her work, including three books and articles in journals such as the Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of International Management, and Business & Society, makes contributions to areas such as sustainability, corporate governance, and international relations. Her work has been recognized with an Academy of Management book award for Cliques and Capitalism: A Modern Networked Theory of the Firm. She is on academic advisory, editorial, and executive committees.
