Dr. Julien Meyer
Julien Meyer is Assistant Professor at the School of Health Services Management within the Ted Rogers School of Management. He earned his Ph.D. at HEC Montreal in 2016 and his M.Sc. at HEC in 2000 in Paris (M.Sc.). Prior to his university career, Julien Meyer worked in Paris for IBM, where he implemented Human Resources Information Systems in major European companies. In 2005, he moved to Canada, where he worked for Emergis and Telus Health Solutions in Project Management and Business Analysis, to implement electronic Health Records in Montreal hospitals. In 2015, he joined Ryerson University, where he is responsible for the Health Information Management Program at the School of Health Services Management.
Julien Meyer’s research has been published in prominent medical research publications, such as Telemedicine and e-Health, the Archives of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine and Diagnostic Pathology. His current research interests focus on the transformative role of Information Technologies in healthcare organizations. He is looking at how telepathology transforms coordination practices in consulting and referring hospitals.
