Ryerson’s team finished an impressive fourth place in the competitive 2018 Battle on Bay case competition hosted by the Ryerson University Finance Society (RUFS). The four-member team was made up of Accounting and Finance BComm students Thejvir Bhattii, Hari Muralidharan and Adam Hamade, as well as Dmytro Kozachenko (Financial Mathematics, BSc).
A total of 17 teams from across Canada participated in this milestone event, now in its 11th year. Teams competed in a two-part case challenge where they had to solve an E-Commerce/Shopify-themed case, having a week to prepare their deliverables. The second round consisted of a crisis case where teams were given only 90 minutes.
The conference was capped off with a Blue and Gold themed dinner gala where Bram Sugarman, Director of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at Shopify, delivered a keynote address. First place at the event went to #GladiatorCapital from Waterloo.
