2020 Graduation Celebration - Ted Rogers School of Management

Graduating from university is a major achievement in your life and definitely one worth celebrating – even during COVID-19.

While the Ted Rogers School is unable to hold any in-person gatherings with your classmates, professors, family and friends right now, we are hosting a Virtual Graduation Celebration to celebrate this significant milestone in your life.

You've graduated...now what?

Congratulations on becoming a Ted Rogers School of Management alumnus! Don't let your education stop here. As a graduate of the Ted Rogers School, you have lifetime access to the programs and services at the Business Career Hub. Looking to network? Reach out to one of the Alumni Associations to stay connected both socially and professionally.

We hope you will remain involved in the Ted Rogers School community and continue to help shape the next generation of business students by sharing your skills. Be sure to stay engaged and follow @trsmalumni (external link)  on Instagram to see what other Ted Rogers School alumni are up to.

Share your experiences and advice with new students

The Program Advising and Student Success and the Graduation Celebration Committee are collecting video clips from the graduating class for “Insight from the 2020 Outgoing Class.” These videos will be compiled and shared with incoming students starting at the Ted Rogers School this Fall.

You are welcome to speak to one of the following questions/prompts:

  • What is your favourite memory while studying at the Ted Rogers School? This can include courses, events, etc.
  • What advice/insight do you have for the incoming class?

The video submission should be 20-30 seconds long, and filmed in landscape mode (turn your phone sideways).

How to submit your video:

  1. You are welcome to pre-record and submit your video until the end of day on Tuesday, June 30, 2020.
  2. Drop in to a Zoom room to record your message. The Zoom room will be open on June 30, 2020 from 1:30 - 2 p.m. and again from 2:30 p.m. - 3 p.m. The link to the Zoom room will be shared with you after completing the Video Submission Form.

Prize: Submit a video for "Insight from the 2020 Outgoing Class" by Tuesday, June 30 and you will be entered in a random draw to win a Ted Rogers School of Management Degree Frame.  (PDF file) Review full contest rules and regulations (opens in new window) .

Please complete the video submission form to indicate your preference.

  Thank you to everyone who submitted TikTok videos for the Toosie Slide Challenge.

The winner of this contest will be contacted by email on June 30, 2020.

Our celebration will include a compilation of the TikTok video submissions for the Toosie Slide Challenge. For those of you not familiar, the Toosie Slide Challenge seen on TikTok began with a track released by Drake called “Toosie Slide,” along with his music video (external link)  that showcased easy-to-follow choreography. The chorus of the song provides very simple dance moves that can be learned through any of the videos online (external link)  or the music video itself.  (PDF file) Contest rules and regulations
