Ted Rogers MBA program ranks #3 in Canada by Bloomberg Businessweek

TORONTO -- Ryerson Unviersity’s Ted Rogers MBA program is ranked third on Bloomberg Businessweek, external link’s 2021-22 survey of MBA programs in Canada. The program moved up from its #5 position last year. 

“It is a fantastic feeling to see the climb of our MBA program’s reputation and to know it is the hard work of our MBA faculty and staff and the support of our alumni which helped us get here,” said Daphne Taras, Dean, Ted Rogers School of Management.

The Bloomberg Businessweek Best Business Schools 2021-2022 ranking is based on 19,955 surveys from students, alumni, and recruiters, as well as compensation and employment data from each school. The survey results were published Wednesday.

Aside from its overall third place ranking in Canada, the Ted Rogers MBA program ranked #3 in Canada for compensation, #4 in networking and #2 in the entrepreneurship and learning categories. 

The Ted Rogers MBA introduced a renewed curriculum last year focused on performance and wellbeing as essential skills to prepare the next generation of business leaders. As the pandemic forced programs to pivot their learning and teaching strategies to a new virtual world, the Ted Rogers MBA program rose to the occasion, said Dr. Donna Smith, Director, MBA Programs. 

“This ranking validates that we are on the right trajectory and drives us to keep building on this momentum. I’m especially proud of our result in the learning category; it reflects the way our faculty and staff adapted so quickly to deliver an innovative curriculum through virtual learning to our students. It also highlights the incredible support we received from our industry partners and alumni, who rallied to support our work as guest speakers, e-mentors and case discussion leaders,” said Smith.

"Our greatest asset is our alumni, because of their impact when they graduate into leadership roles in companies and organizations,” said Dean Taras. “They appreciate the value of the learning experience they had in the Ted Rogers MBA, and employers recognize how well prepared our graduates are to lead and succeed in an ever-changing business environment."
