Guided Academic Planning Program

GAPP will not be offered during the Spring/Summer 2018; it will resume in the Fall 2018 academic term.

The GAPP is a peer led program designed to help TRSM students with a CGPA equal or lower than 1.3 to develop concrete and attainable goals to improve their academic performance.

GAPP participants meet with the ASC Learning Strategist for an initial consultation, where an individual academic plan for success is devised. Participants are then referred to meet with a Peer Academic Coach (PAC) on a weekly basis. PACs are upper year students from different schools in TRSM, trained to assist fellow students with study skills and to help GAPP participants in following through with their personal academic plans.

GAPP will help you:

  • Understanding your past learning experiences and how you can improve your academic results
  • Determining why you are in university and in your program
  • Developing concrete and attainable academic and personal development goals
  • Developing a plan tailored to you and your program needs
  • Keeping track of your progress toward your academic and personal development goals
