As of January 2021, we have updated our policy to make Bootcamps exclusive to TRSM students and alumni. Unfortunately, as a result, you will not be able to register for our events.

We recommend that you continue to periodically check our website in future semesters to see if any new opportunities arise for the community.

As per the updated Business Career Hub Sign-Up-Show-Up Policy, you must cancel your ticket 24 hours in advance via the confirmation email. All TRSM undergraduate students who sign up for any event hosted by the Business Career Hub and do not show up without cancelling their tickets 24 hours before the event starts, will receive a strike. This policy can be found on the "Sign-Up-Show-Up Policy" tab located at the top of all Bootcamp registration pages. If you have any further questions or concerns, kindly connect with trsmcareers@torontomu.ca.

If both the bootcamp tickets and waitlist spots are not available, please email us at trsmbootcamps@torontomu.ca with the name of the bootcamp and the date you would like to be added to the waitlist for.

Please let us know by emailing trsmbootcamps@torontomu.ca and indicate which Bootcamp and date you attended.

FAQs: Microsoft Certifications

At this time, we only offer the Microsoft Excel Associate Exam. Please stay tuned for more updates in January.

Please review our exam schedule list and select and pay for your ticket type that is available.

The exam format will simulate the Excel software and require you to complete mock project tasks on Excel to reflect your understanding of how to apply select Excel functions and features. It is project-based activities, not multiple choice/short answer style questions.

  1. You can gain further knowledge by attending the Power of Excel Bootcamps and its relevant challenge.
  2. Attend the Prep session.
  3. Refer to training materials below.

Please bring your OneCard or government issued identification. We will provide you with a loaner laptop to complete the exam.

Please ensure that you create a Certiport account after registering for your exam (if you do not have an account already). It is crucial that you remember your username and password when you arrive to do your exam.

No, at this time we only offer in-person exams.

The Microsoft Excel Associate exam is 50 minutes long. If you are a registered Accommodations student via Certiport (Microsoft Exam provider used for our testing), you may receive a longer duration. Registered accommodations students must reach out to the Bootcamp team, prior to signing up for an exam session to ensure we are able to meet all accommodation requirements.

If you are unsuccessful and it is your first time attempting the exam, we will share any remaining exam sessions to sign up and retry the exam. Note: Please refer to our exam retake policy for additional details.

No, you are not required to have the Badge 2.0. We strongly recommend and encourage you to complete the Bootcamps and Challenge as part of preparation and understanding of concepts, however, the preparation taken is at the discretion of the exam candidate.

We hope to provide more opportunities in the new year. If any earlier opportunities become available, we will post updates on our website.
