Important: New guidelines for dining hall access and shift to delivery service only

As communicated in an email from Housing & Residence Life, yesterday Toronto Public Health (TPH) declared an outbreak of COVID-19 in Pitman Hall.

To help support the health and safety of our community, all meal plan holders living in Pitman Hall will have their meals from the dining hall delivered directly to their residence room beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, April 14. In-person meal pick-up from the Pitman Dining Hall will no longer be available for Pitman Hall residents. 

Meal plan holders living in DCC and ILC may continue to pick-up their meals from the Pitman Dining Hall in-person on Wednesday, April 14 or may opt to have their meals delivered on April 14 before we switch to a meal delivery model on Thursday, April 15.

We apologize for being unable to provide advanced notice of this change and for any inconvenience this may cause.

Instructions for ordering your meals for delivery

We’re sharing a delivery menu for the period of April 14 - April 17 and encourage you to make your meal selections by 8 a.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, April 14. The form will remain open until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14.

  1. Review your meal options for the period of April 14 to April 17 online at ryerson.ca/pitman-dining-hall
  2. Secure your meal selections for the period of April 14 - April 17 by completing the  (google form) Meal Delivery for Students Living in Residence: April 14 - 17 form (external link)  by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14.

For next week’s meal delivery orders, you will receive an email on Thursday asking you to place orders for the following week’s worth of meals by 10 a.m. on Saturdays. You will receive the first of these emails on Thursday, April 15 for the meal delivery period of Sunday, April 18 to Saturday, April 24.

A Food Services attendant will deliver your meals to your residence room during the daily meal drop-off times. They will knock on your door once your meal has been delivered.

Our delivery menu has been designed by Ryerson Eats chefs to accommodate a wide variety of allergens and dietary considerations, including vegetarian, vegan, halal and meals made without gluten. Using the  (google form) Meal Delivery for Students Living in Residence: April 14 - 17 form (external link) , please indicate any dietary restrictions or allergies you have and our chefs will work with you to provide meals that meet your individual needs.

Students observing Ramadan may request to have two servings of our dinner menu delivered to their residence room at one time to support their fast. This can be arranged via the  (google form) Meal Delivery for Students Living in Residence: April 14 - 17 form (external link) .

As our meals are served hot, in the interest of student health, residents should eat their meals within two hours of being served or should refrigerate them for later consumption.

In-person meal pick-up instructions for DCC and ILC residents only

Meal plan holders living in DCC or ILC may continue to pick-up their meals in-person from the Pitman Dining Hall on Wednesday, April 14 or may choose to place orders for delivery. To manage the flow of traffic in the dining hall, meal pick-up times for April 14 have been assigned depending on your residence.
