We grow a wide selection of seasonal produce (more than 50 crops and 100 cultivars) on our quarter-acre rooftop farm.
How we grow
We farm using ecological methods that support the health and well-being of our surrounding ecosystem. Our produce is spray-free, meaning we do not use any pesticides, fungicides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers. To maintain soil fertility, we practice a five-year crop rotation and apply natural soil amendments such as compost, compost tea, and kelp emulsion.
Where you can find our produce
Starting May 2019, our produce will be available for sale to the public at the Ryerson Urban Farm Stand.
Our vegetables are also featured on the Ryerson Eats catering menu and can be enjoyed at campus eateries.
You can also find our produce at the Good Food Centre, external link at the Ryerson Students’ Union for distribution to those in need.
