Calendar & Event List or Grid

This page includes an overview of two separate components - the Calendar and the Event List or Grid. Both components display event release template, opens in new window pages.

The calendar component displays the content from an event release template, opens in new window  page(s). The calendar interface provides visitors with two display options:

  • Calendar view 
  • Event List
     

The Calendar is found in the Sidekick > Content

  • Required content: set path to location of the event template pages
  • Additional parameters (optional): tags
  • Custom Colours Applicable:  No

How to use

  1. In Sidekick > Content, click on "Calendar"
  2. Drag "Calendar" onto page
  3. Double click, or right-click to edit
  4. Set path to location where event releases have been created; alternatively, you can add each specific release you wish to display
  5. Add optional tags, if using
  6. Click OK

The event list or grid component displays the content from an event release template, opens in new window  page(s). This component can display events in a list or grid display.

This component is found in the Sidekick > Lists and Grids > Event

  • Required content: set path to location of the event template pages
  • Additional parameters (optional): tags
  • Custom Colours Applicable:  No

How to use

  1. In Sidekick > Lists and Grids> Event
  2. Drag Event onto page
  3. Right click the component to edit/open
  4. Select one of two display options: List or Grid
  5. Select the items you want to display in either the list of grid for each event:
    Title, Summary, Date and Time, Event open to, Locaiton, Contact, Website, Tags, Enable tag filtering
  6. If you chose the Grid Display, you must select the number of colums in which the events are to be displayed.
    Note: Grids are displayed with images that are added as thumbnails on the individual event pages
  7. In content configuration, select the type of events you wish to display (Current and Future - which is recommended; or All events, past, present and future)
  8. Set path to location where event releases have been created 
  9. Set limit of events you want displayed on the page
  10. Add tags in additional parameters (optional)
  11. Click OK
