Sharareh Taghipour joined the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Ryerson University as an Assistant Professor in 2012. Prior her appointment to the University's faculty, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow
for about a year at the Centre for Maintenance Optimization and Reliability
Engineering (C-MORE) at the University of Toronto. She obtained her PhD in
Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto, and received her BSc
in Mathematics and Computer Science and her MASc in Industrial Engineering,
both from Sharif University of Technology, Iran. Her research interests include
reliability engineering, inspection and maintenance optimization, stochastic operations research, statistical analysis, and novel applications of maintenance optimization models, such as optimization of cancer screening. She
also holds a status-only Assistant Professor appointment in the Department
of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto, and
collaborates with the C-MORE on a number of projects.odels.

Sharareh Taghipour, PhD, LEL, is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Ryerson University. Dr. Taghipour obtained her Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto and her B.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science as well as her M.A.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Iran. Her research interests are in the area of risk and reliability engineering, maintenance optimization and their applications in evidence-based decision making.
