Changing Your my.ryerson Password

You can change your my.ryerson password through the Self Service option accessed through the my.ryerson portal.

Note: my.ryerson password changes affect all online resources accessed with your my.ryerson username including: Google Apps, RMail, your student, faculty or staff Ryerson website, the Central Computing Labs and resources accessed through the my.ryerson portal.

Option 1: Change your Current Password

  1. Login to the my.ryerson portal at: with your my.ryerson username and password.
  2. Go to the Manage My Resources module and click Self Service.
  3. under the Personal Account Security Settings heading, select Change Password.

Option 2: Forgot Your Password

  1. If you have previously selected your challenge phrases in the Self Serve Module within the my.ryerson portal, do the following:
    1. Go to the my.ryerson portal
    2. Select Can't login?
    3. Choose Forget your password? Change your password using your challenge phrases.
  2. If you have never selected your challenge phrases, do the following:

An alternate method to get your password changed:


Speak to an Advisor in the KHW71 lab or the Reference Desk of the Library - 2nd floor. Bring valid photo ID and they will reset your password. Password changes may take an hour to take effect.
