The Business of Chemistry and Biology

A general and conceptual discussion of the biology and chemistry behind consumer and industrial products. Emphasis will be on the innovations that laid the foundation for these products and how they have impacted the economy and/or society. Also to be considered are the challenges related to commercializing innovation from both a consumer and competitive point of view. Case studies will be used to illustrate specific topics.
