Therapeutic Life-Space

This course provides a theoretical exploration of therapeutic life-space intervention as the central concept in working with children and youth in today's global context. The core of child and youth care practice is to be with young people where they are living their lives. This course introduces therapeutic life-space as a unified concept with physical, mental, relational, and virtual dimensions centred on the young person's interactions with life, place, space, and time. This contemporary conceptualization of therapeutic life-space reflects changes in social conventions, technology, and evolving cultural diversity.
