Whole-Cut Seafood, Made From Plants

New School Foods' was founded in 2020 in Toronto, ON. New School Foods’ mission is to accelerate the transition to a kinder, more sustainable food system by creating no-compromise meat alternatives. Today's existing food production technologies do not create a faithful emulation of fibrous meat, especially not for whole-cuts like a fillet of fish or chicken breast. New School Foods' new approach produces meat alternatives in a cost-effective manner, using off-the-shelf equipment that is already globally scaled, and creates a faithful emulation of meat, right down to the diameter of individual protein fibers. The first product will be a fillet of salmon that looks, cooks, tastes and flakes like fish.

We are firm believers that in order for consumers to want plant-based meat alternatives, they need to be more authentic by properly delivering on texture, cooking, appearance, price and taste.
